Historic Germantown Nashville, Inc. (“HGN”) is a Tennessee not-for-profit membership corporation established in 1991 and is recognized as a 501( c)(3) charitable entity by the Internal Revenue Service. HGN is governed by a seven member Board of Directors elected annually by its membership. The Bylaws of the corporation define the purpose of HGN as, Preservation of the historic architecture and urban character of Germantown Promotion of social and economic diversity Control of future development To foster a strong sense of community to improve the neighborhood’s quality of life.
