OCTOBER 11, 2008

Each fall for 28 years, thousands of individuals have celebrated Oktoberfest in an authentic German neighborhood, Historic Germantown Nashville.  That event was sponsored by two neighborhood churches and the neighborhood association. The changing dynamics and popular development of the area has allowed HGN to create a new and exciting event, the Germantown Street Festival in picturesque Historic Germantown.

On the second Saturday in October guests stroll our shady streets, sample German brewed-beer, wine, and food, listen and dance to a variety of musical styles, participate in fun activities, and enjoy the scenic beauty and hospitality of Historic Germantown.  That number was almost 30,000 in 2007 and we expect to see them back in 2008 for the Germantown Street Festival.
